Surveys Box
Surveys / Matching Surveys
Surveys that you subscribe to are listed in the Surveys
list.
Initially they are listed in alphabetical order and no survey is
selected. You can immediately enter your search words to find the
surveys with our search keywords, and the survey with the most hits
will be selected automotically.
To the right of the survey list you may find some drop down lists
which allow you to restrict the scope of your search by language,
year and survey provider. These options will only appear if they
are suitable for your account. If you have surveys in more than one
language, you will have a choice of language. If there are a lot of
surveys available for a particular survey, you will have the option
to limit the search to within a specifica year or survey provider.
Using these search restrictions will give you the best search
performance.

Please note: The Year
selection and provider selections work in concert. Thus, the Year
list reflects which years are available for the selected Provider,
and the Provider list reflects which providers are available for
the selected year. Items which are not available based on the the
other selection are displayed in light grey. Example: If the year
is set to 2009, you might see some providers in black and others in
grey. Providers in black have surveys in 2009. If you click on a
provider displayed in light grey, the year list will change to the
year of the most recent survey for the selected provider. You
always have direct access to all years and all Providers. Be
mindful that when an item displayed in grey is selected, the other
list will adjust to best reflect your choice.
New! Create custom search sets! Search sets allow you
to search across multiple years or multiple survey providers.
Examples:
- 2007-2008 all survey providers
- 2007-2008 MRI Only
- 2008 Client ACME

Once a search is executed, the Surveys list becomes the
Matching Surveys list, and the surveys are filtered to the
search results and sorted high to low based on the number of search
hits found in each survey.
After a search has been executed, there are two ways to switch the
survey list back to a full list:
- Click on the Show All button. Keep in mind that once
you do this, there wil be studies shown which do not have matches
for your search.
- Remove all of your keywords from the Telmar me about
box
To quickly find a particular survey, use the Filter Surveys
button. A dialog box , as shown in Figure 2, will allow you to find
surveys by typing in the survey Name or the survey
Code. To remove this applied filtering, click on the
Reset Filter button
Notes:
The only time ReSearch Guru will choose a survey for you is
when: A) your preference is set for a default selection of
None, and B) when you are performing your first search after
you login! Once a first survey is selected, you must perform any
survey selection changes.
